This policy applies to information handled through the public CFLED website. It does not automatically apply to a separately operated project website, learning platform, marketplace, institutional system, or other third-party service reached through a link on this website. Those services may provide their own privacy information.

This policy describes the website as it operates on the effective date above.

The general enquiry form may collect:

• your name and email address;
• your telephone number and organisation, if you provide them;
• the enquiry type, subject, and message you submit.

The partnership enquiry form may collect:

• your name, organisation, position, email address, and telephone number;
• your preferred meeting date and partnership area;
• your project description and expected timeline.

Both forms ask you to confirm that CFLED may contact you about the enquiry. The current website requires that confirmation before submission, but it does not retain a separate consent record. Please do not include passwords, card details, personal identification numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a message.

The website validates enquiry information and sends it to CFLED by email. Email delivery is provided through Resend and the destination is CFLED's configured enquiry mailbox. The website's current contact function does not save enquiry submissions in an application database.

Copies of an enquiry may remain in CFLED's mailbox and in records maintained by the email delivery provider. Replies and subsequent correspondence are handled through the relevant email systems.

When you request a page or submit a form, the website's hosting and delivery providers may process standard technical information needed to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the service. This may include an IP address, browser or device information, the requested page, timestamps, and security or error logs.

Technical error information and the page on which an error occurred may be processed by the website's hosting and maintenance tools for diagnosis.

CFLED may use information handled through this website to:

• deliver the website and remember your selected theme;
• receive, assess, route, and respond to enquiries;
• discuss requested programmes, projects, research, or partnership opportunities;
• provide customer or service support and maintain related correspondence;
• protect the website, prevent misuse, and diagnose technical problems;
• maintain records reasonably connected with an enquiry or agreed engagement.

The current public website does not include behavioural advertising or an analytics integration. The newsletter field is disabled and does not currently submit an email address.

CFLED relies on providers that support the website and may process limited information on its behalf or under their own terms. These include website hosting and content-delivery providers, Resend for enquiry-email delivery, Google for hosted fonts and the embedded map, and media delivery networks used for website images and video.

Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to protect the website or its users, investigate misuse, comply with an applicable legal obligation, or establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim. CFLED does not use this public website to collect information for behavioural advertising.

The website stores a theme preference in your browser's local storage under the namecflecd-theme. This allows the website to remember whether you selected light or dark mode. It is not used for advertising.

No first-party analytics cookie was identified in the current application. The Google Maps embed and other externally hosted resources may use cookies or similar technologies under the relevant provider's terms. You can control browser storage and third-party cookies through your browser settings, although blocking them may affect some features.

This public website does not currently provide a checkout or collect payment-card details. A separately operated CFLED project or service may use a payment provider under its own transaction terms and privacy information. If payment functionality is added to this website, this policy should be updated before that functionality is made available.

CFLED does not state one fixed retention period for every enquiry. Retention depends on why the information was provided, whether an engagement follows, the need to maintain correspondence or service records, security requirements, and any applicable legal obligation. Information should not be kept longer than reasonably necessary for those purposes.

A deletion request may not result in immediate deletion of every copy where information must be kept for a legitimate recordkeeping, security, dispute, or legal purpose.

CFLED uses reasonable technical and organisational steps appropriate to the website and the information it handles. The contact function validates input, keeps the email-provider key on the server, and escapes submitted content before constructing an enquiry email. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights relating to personal information, such as asking for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or an explanation of how it is used. These rights may be subject to identity verification and lawful exceptions.

To make a privacy request, email info@cflec.org. Describe the information or enquiry concerned and the request you are making. Do not send identity documents unless CFLED asks for information reasonably needed to verify the request.

Some CFLED programme information refers to services for children or young people. This policy describes the public institutional website and its enquiry forms; it does not describe the data practices of a separate learning or programme platform. A parent or guardian with a question about a child-focused programme should contact CFLED before providing personal information through that programme.

Links may lead to project, partner, or other third-party websites. Their operators are responsible for their own privacy practices. Review the relevant notice before submitting information on another website.

CFLED may update this policy when the website, its providers, or applicable requirements change. A revised policy will identify its new effective date on this page.
